Alex Allen

Alex graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2009 with a degree in American Literature with Creative Writing.
As part of his degree, and inspired almost entirely by the songs of Sufjan Stevens, he spent a year abroad at the University of Illinois. During this period he ate corn dogs, attended monster truck derbys, and frequently ranked top of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare online leaderboards.
He is now living in London, and working in a voluntary role for the Poetry Book Society, organisers of the annual T S Eliot Prize.
He is due to return to his spawning ground of UEA in September, to take up his place on the Creative Writing: Poetry MA there.
